Ashlyn + Benjamin

If you've looked at my website, these two may be familiar to you. My very first session, with someone other than my kids, was Ashlyn... back before her brother came along. Then, I took some maternity pictures of her Mommy. Then, when Benjamin arrived, we did a newborn session. But this was my first opportunity to take pictures of the whole family. They are good friends of ours, so maybe I'm a little biased... but they are a beautiful family! See for yourself...

Mallory + Max + Marshall

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas. I had just two session between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but between placing orders, making Christmas cards and trying to fit in a little Christmas shopping... I've stayed more than busy.

Here is the first session. This was really my first time to shoot older children (ie. above preschool age) and it was so much fun... such a different experience from chasing around toddlers. Anyway, just wanted to share some of this sweet family.

Collin + Sarah Kate

Recently, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my best friend's sweet kids. It was the kind of session I love. Pretty setting, nice day, slightly overcast (although it sprinkled on my way there). Collin wasn't too sure about me at first, but after his mommy brought up Cars (the movie), we were good to go... that was once the movie of choice around our house. Anyway, Collin just played and I followed him around. And Sarah Kate didn't seem to mind laying in the leaves at all! It was so much fun. I would share more but I don't want to ruin any surprises for the Christmas card. And Laura, thanks for sharing your kids with me. I only wish we could see each other more often!

Caleb

How cute is this little guy! With the holiday rush, I'm a little behind. His session was before Thanksgiving, and I'm just finishing up proofing them. Enjoy!

A blog is born!

For those of you who know me, I'm sure you figured it was only a matter of time before I started a photography blog. I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but things have been pretty busy lately. Here's what I've been up to:
------------------------------------------------------
Sweet Halle (with a little added texture). She was such a sweet girl. I've been shooting a lot of 4 month-olds recently.
------------------------------------------------
This is Sadie. I've been trying to update my website and I couldn't choose between all the fun pictures of her. This one was her mom's favorite. She was so expressive and easy to photograph.

------------------------------------------------

And what fun this family was! Britton and Tyler were such cuties. It took them a few minutes to open up, but once I let them climb the trees, we were good.

--------------------------------------------------

And then came Dylan and Daniel. This was my second "home" shoot, which is still a challenge for me... but a good one. I really love pictures shot in people's homes. They just seem so personal... and the kids are much more comfortable.

-------------------------------------------------

Next came Cole. Did I mention that I've seen lots of 4 month olds! This was another shoot at their home and it turned out great!

-------------------------------------------------
And these last ones are all from a day of mini-sessions that Stacia and I did together at the Botanical Gardens. It's so much easier to take family pictures with two people. It was a long day, but we really enjoyed ourselves. Most of the clients for the day ended up being Stacia's, but she gave me the okay to share a few that I took with you.
